Main Dining Room Spacing- Eurodam

Have learned that HAL have transferred all passengers from Westerdam to Eurodam (on which we have a reservation ) assuming to fill one ship to capacity - they won’t divulge how many passengers. Since probably full - does anyone know if Eurodam or any HAL ship has made greater space between tables in main dining room. We have requested a table for two - but are older and trying to be safe as possible. Thanks for any info!

They had not changed the table spacing on Koningsdam this Feb/Mar, and they had closed the third floor dining room, with a total of around 40% occupancy on the ship. So the second floor dining room was well over half full... probably 65-70% full on most nights. I would say, within 100 feet of our chairs, as we had near, but not at the window seats, 80 or better percent of the chairs were full most nights.

We were on the Eurodam a week ago. Our table for 2 was practically touching the one next to it.

It took a long time to get served which made me uncomfortable having so many people in close proximity for so long. After that one night we ate our meals in the buffet where we could actually sit further apart and eat much quicker. The one night we ate at Tamarind we had a table off by ourselves in the corner.

Thanks for the info everyone. If we do take this cruise we won’t be eating in main dining room. Have 3 nights in specialty - sounds like spacing better.

They have not spaced tables out in Pinnacle or Canaletto either. A little more space in Pinnacle, IMO, but Canaletto is about the same spacing as the MDR.

The Canaletto has about the same spacing, but our experience has been that the restaurant is less crowded generally, therefore allowing more space.  Tables for two in MDR have you very close to your neighbors.
