Rare Tom-n-Cheryl Posted May 16, 2022 #1 Share Posted May 16, 2022 We last sailed Royal (Independence) in December '21. Prior to that, it had been a few years, and I fell off their radar. I played a little bit in the casino (BJ, black chips, two spots), and have since received numerous offers for inside and oceanview cabins. I called on one and was able to upgrade to a GS, which amounted to about $1,000 off the online rate. My question is - are they able to extend discounts to sailings which are not listed in their flyers? I'm looking at one for January next year, and thought I'd go ahead and book it, but wanted to hear it from you guys first. I know with Celebrity (Blue Chip Club) that I was able to book two sailings based on my last play, I didn't know how Royal approached the process. BTW, we do have the Independence booked again for August - so I might be able to "renegotiate" the rate for a sailing next year. THANKS, Tom
Funkytown83 Posted May 16, 2022 #2 Share Posted May 16, 2022 If I want to book a cruise that is not listed on any of my current offers I call and ask for the best price for a specific cabin category on the desired sailing. They usually give me a “casinoten” which gives 10% discount after the current regular onlinesale. If they don’t come up with it right away, I ask to specifically apply the “casinoten” discount. It always worked! I’m a ClubRoyale member for roughly ten years now. Currently at the prime level. The only exception is, that the promo does not work for new ships in their first season. Good luck! Sunshine3601 Posted May 16, 2022 #4 Share Posted May 16, 2022 I have booked non casino cruises and have gotten some great deals. I know 10% is their standard discount but I usually do a mock booking right before I call then get their price and compare. 99.99% of the time I have received more than 10% off. Good Luck!
RFerrington Posted May 16, 2022 #5 Share Posted May 16, 2022 My “standard” discount w/o an offer is 5% off. I have booked a lot of cruises using that discount.

LOL) Tom
Rare Tom-n-Cheryl Posted May 18, 2022 Author #7 Share Posted May 18, 2022 That didn't work out too well - I got in touch with them only to be given rates which were the same I could see online. Having said that, I failed to (in the heat of the moment, lol) ask about the casinoten rate/code. Darn it, now I'll have to call back! Tom
