Need for visa to Australia if leaving same day as arrival

We’re going on the splendor in September.Seattle to Sydney.We’ll be flying out that same day. Do we need to get an ETA visa?

Yes you need a ETA or visa you need to clear customs , you will be detained otherwise and deported, and a nice fine.

I am led to believe you will also need a Maritime Traveller's Declaration. There is no charge for this and it needs to be completed online a few days before boarding the ship.

Applying for the ETA is pretty simple, just make sure you use the official government site, .(gov.au)

Without proper documentation no carrier would let you board transferring you to another country... Whoops, they have been waiting for this mob to get in ....
