Symphony : St Maarten, St Thomas, Coco Cay (-300) Leaves from Miami Wonder: St Kitts, St Thomas, Nassau leaves from Orlando (closer to Tampa where I live) Traveling w my wife and 2 girls (12 and 9) Thoughts on ships, ports, etc ? TIA Edited May 22, 2022 by t_fins
Jimbo Posted May 22, 2022 #2 Share Posted May 22, 2022 (edited) Feb 12th date on Wonder doesn't work for you? Like those ports better then having Nassau. Kids will like Coco Cay better then Nassau, plus the 2 sea days before returning home are really nice to really enjoy the ship. Day 1: Orlando (Port Canaveral) - Fl Sun Feb 12 2023 | Depart 04:30 PM Day 2: Perfect Day Cococay - Bahamas Mon Feb 13 2023 | 07:00 AM To 04:00 PM Day 3: At Sea Tue Feb 14 2023 | Day 4: Charlotte Amalie - St. Thomas Wed Feb 15 2023 | 12:00 PM To 08:00 PM Day 5: Basseterre - St Kitts & Nevis Thu Feb 16 2023 | 08:00 AM To 05:00 PM Day 6: At Sea Fri Feb 17 2023 | Day 7: At Sea Sat Feb 18 2023 | Day 8: Orlando (Port Canaveral) - Fl Sun Feb 19 2023 | Arrive 06:00 AM Edited May 22, 2022 by Jimbo
wikoffclan Posted May 22, 2022 #3 Share Posted May 22, 2022 (edited) IMHO - Port Canaveral is the easier port to get to and to park and sail. Love St. Thomas, never been to St. Kitts, Nassau is under construction. Edited May 22, 2022 by wikoffclan spelling

Rare crewsweeper Posted May 23, 2022 #6 Share Posted May 23, 2022 If you can't do Jimbo's suggested Wonder dates, then book the Symphony. Coco Cay much better than Nassau. We haven't sailed the Wonder (April 2023 and Jan 2024 coming up). But we liked the Symphony. And it seemed to us old folks that the younger children were having a grand time on the Symphony. Weigh the cost/flights of air and taxi to MIA and port ($30-$35 per cab) versus gas and parking and a hotel stay.

PC is probably 2 hours closer compared to Miami.

Although it would probably work out just as well to drive and spend the night even with parking at port. If they left Tampa at 7 AM they could be at the cruise terminal by 11:30 day of.
deliver42 Posted May 23, 2022 #9 Share Posted May 23, 2022 The differences between the ships are neglidgable other than the pool deck and solarium. We've been on both and just for the sows the Symphony is far better, but I'd sail the Wonder again in a heartbeat.
