Seattle dining options near Art Museum and Public Library

We'll be staying at the Hotel Monaco at Spring and 4th Ave. Any recommendations for coffee shops or breakfast and dinner places within  1/4-1/2 mile? TIA!

You are within walking distance of a ton of different options. Coffee wise the new Espresso Bar at the Fairmont Olympic, a block away, is quite good.

 

Also at the Fairmont their new lobby bar is very nice (also have a speakeasy where the old bar used to be tucked behind a bookshelf) as well as one of our old standbys Shuckers, their oyster bar which is consistently good. They turned the Georgian Room into a new restaurant which I have not gotten to yet but looks nice.

 

For an upscale dinner one of our faves, also within walking distance, is Metropolitan Grill-- a great steakhouse. Walkable, but also a short Uber away is Shiros, a favorite sushi spot in Belltown-- small so make a reservation but very good. 

 

Of course you also have all of the eclectic offerings at Pike Place Market, again within an easy walk of where you are staying. Seattle has some great food, and there are many threads about it and I'm sure that others will chime in with their faves. But the good news is you are in a very central spot to avail yourself of most of it quite easily.
