bguppies Posted October 1, 2022 #26 Share Posted October 1, 2022 (edited) I wandered down to the beach before the DJ got started so I can't speak to how it sounded down there. I was stunned that it bothered me so much, as I grew up going to loud concerts and clubs from 16-30 years old and now suffer from tinnitus because of it, but the dance music was strangely annoying. (but I think its more about how annoying music since 2000 has been more than decibels.) As long as people enjoy or at least don't mind modern club music, they should have a fine day. It just took my enjoyment of the day from a strong 100/100 to a 75 or 80 out of 100. I would highly recommend anyone not sure, to give it a try for themselves, the pool facilities there are that nice. And the price after the golf cart rental price hike recently, kind of priced us out of trying other smaller beaches around the island. (which was our original other option when it was $69 to rent a cart all day.) The small amount of extra $$$ for full use of the pool and other areas semed well worth it to us. CM1984 Posted October 1, 2022 #27 Share Posted October 1, 2022 (edited) Thank you so much for your info…… @bguppies & @ninjacat123 It sounds like Resort World will be it, plus DH might want to hit the casino to lose a bit. 😂. Can we make a reservation ahead of time, or do we show up and ask? And best way to get there? (Or did someone already share that?) Mimi & Craig Virginia You take the free tram at the pier and Resort World is a couple stops away. I booked tickets through Carnival as an excursion. You show the people running the tram your excursion tickets and you'll get a wrist band indicating you have paid for the excursion. I haven't been in the casino at RW but I read that it's not that exciting. And I looked for a souvenir and the little surf shop was limited in it's choices plus pretty pricey. Have a great cruise!!
bguppies Posted October 2, 2022 #29 Share Posted October 2, 2022 We did it as a Carnival excursion booked before the cruise. (they left our tickets in the mailbox outside our cabin while we were at dinner the first night) When you get off the ship they have two lines at the back of the ship to board the tram. One to the left for no excursions, just a free ride and one to the right for the people with excusrions. They fill the tram with excursion people first, then fill the odd leftover, couple of seats with the non-excusion people. (so make sure to get in the correct line) If I remember correctly, the casino was the stop after Resort World, so when you board the tram at the end of your day at Resort World, it will be one or two stops after reboarding..(they tell you what each stop is as you arrive.)

Rare lazydayz Posted October 15, 2022 #31 Share Posted October 15, 2022 When we were in Bimini, they were trying to sell us RW passes on the tram.

I posted a review and am happy to answer (or try to answer, LOL) any questions. Hi! Do you recall how much the chair/umbrella rental was at Radio Beach? We're still trying to figure out what to do in Bimini. Thanks! Edited October 16, 2022 by christyran1228

kathynorth Posted October 16, 2022 #34 Share Posted October 16, 2022 We just visited Bimini last Friday. Most who went on excursions headed to Resort World. We took a cab to Radio Beach, while others we knew on the cruise went to Paradise Beach (right next to RW). There is a small tram (free) that can take you directly from the ship to the end of the pier or you can walk the long pier on your own. At the end of the pier there is a station for a 2nd tram (free) that will make several stops. 1st stop is Resort World. You can purchase tickets on ship, at the end of pier, or at Resort World. Others have already indicated the prices. 2nd stop is Paradise Beach (free local beach). You can rent 2 chairs and an umbrella for $40, or just use the ship towels to sit on. Next stop was the casino. 4th stop was Fisherman's Village, an area with shops and restaurants. It wasn't very active there, but we were able to access free internet there. This is where people were able to rent golf carts. Current cost was $90 so we skipped the rental and instead took a cab to radio beach for $5/pp each way. We were left off at the Bimini Straw Market, which is actually just a cluster of shops/stands were some typical souveniers were sold. Taxis keep making a loop from Fisherman's Village to the Straw Market all day, so no trouble finding a taxi back to the tram stop. We bought a $12 t-shirt and used the bathroom before heading up the walk to the beach. For $40 we rented 2 chairs, with an umbrella and 2 drinks. You could also rent snorkel equipment or water floats, but we decided to pass on these. The water at Radio was real nice. Some visitors were snorkeling and pulled up a bunch of nice and also empty conch shells from the deeper water. A couple of our friends walked from the ship to Radio Beach and said it was just under 3 miles.
