Do I need separate insurance for niece traveling with us?

Good morning! I was hoping to get opinions/advice/first hand knowledge if possible. We will be taking my 14 year old niece on a cruise with us this summer. She is staying with us for the summer (we live in Georgia), but she lives in California. When selecting insurance options, it says that anyone living in a different state may need to have their own insurance. Does anyone have experience with this and know if we will we need to get a separate policy for her? TIA

What did the insurance company say about their policy in this specific situation?

That's the answer that you can count on.

Otherwise, you'd risk having a claim denied should you end up needing to make one.

Yes she will.

All policies are basically the same. At the same time, all policies are different in that each State regulates how policies are sold.

I work with Steve from TripInsuranceStore whenever I purchase a travel insurance policy. I was meeting up with my Granddaughter to take her on a cruise with us. She lives in a different State. I was required to purchase a separate policy for her to be properly covered.
