Vaccination on Invoice Question

Recommended Posts

So I've gone through the check-in process for my sailing in a few weeks, including uploading all of our vaccination records. My wife, myself, and my son all received boosters by the time we checked-in, my youngest daughter is fully vaccinated, but had not yet received her booster at the time I uploaded her records.

On the Royal App, it verifies that her record is validated and includes her vaccination manufacturer as well as her date of last dose (which was back in November).

However, looking on the invoice from Royal I received today, next to me, my wife, and my son, under Special Services it says "Vaccinated - Yes"

Under my daugther it says "Vaccinated - No"

Has anyone else encountered this before I call Royal? I'm wondering if maybe it just says No for her because she hadn't received her booster at the time? She's also only 7 whereas my son is 12, so she's not necessarily "required" to be fully vaccinated. It just seems like an odd terminology to use on the invoice.

Only if you have not experienced RCI enough times - pretty sure that’s related to DD’s age and RCI IT having things on autopilot.

If this is in the US I wouldn’t worry about it.  You will show the vax card at the port.  Zero need to be boosted in the US so all of that is irrelevant info.  No worries.

Good to know—I just didn’t want there to be some snafu where Royal is expecting us to have the PCR test done for her in advance of boarding, as right now we’re following vaccinated testing protocols for all of us and getting the NAAT two days before cruising.

And fyi.  NAAT is a form of PCR test as I understand it, so it would also count for unvaccinated as far as I know.  I think you have your bases fully covered.

It is easy to say don’t stress, but I know in reality it isn’t as easy so I won’t say it.  I went through this last month with three unvaccinated kids. I didn’t think I would stress about it, but I did experience a little anxiety knowing we could be denied boarding if their pre cruise tests early and at the port didn’t show negative.  But all tests were negative and eventually we were off having fun.

That's related to her age. We recently sailed with our 9 year old grandson who's had both vaccines. We just ignored this notation from RCI and had no problem showing his vaccination card at the terminal.

We had this with the 10 yr old (now 11). She had 2 vaccines, we showed the card at the port. Also had her pre tested along with the rest of the family. It does make a difference on ship at Adventure Ocean activities. Just make sure you clear it up as you board. Have a great cruise.
