Caesar Rewards - Casino At Sea

Recommended Posts

Hello All!

I’ve seen some posts about CAS but I still haven’t found the answer so I’m hoping someone can chime in if they’ve cruised using Caesar CAS.

I’ve recently got a comp certificate for a free inside cabin. I’ve call the number to inquire a balcony upgrade. So I got $350pp upgrade + admin fee + tax. My question is can I book this and pay a deposit then find a TA to transfer for additional perks like Amex plat OBC etc.? Has anyone tried it? TIA!

Our TA was inquiring about this - as she really didn't know either.  (I have heard you can get additional perks from your TA - true or gossip 🤷‍♀️)

However, we stopped her because we were afraid to lose our casino perks.

While we have the drink pkg - it does not include water which the casino does.

Additionally, in most cases you get early boarding (after handicap & Haven) - if you are Platinum or above it doesn't make a difference.

Thank you for the reply. Let’s see if anyone else can chime in if they’ve done the transfer.

CAS does their own bookings. Don’t believe it can be transferred to TA.

That's my understanding as well, though I haven't attempted it so I can't say with certainty.

From what I know, mine as well. Granted our CAS cruises are not in my name, but its been 100% managed through NCL, start to finish. When you print the documents, it does list your casino as the "travel agent/contact".

Other than that, definitely recommend upgrading! We upgraded to balcony with all the "free at sea" perks. Yes, we ended up paying for the cruise - but we're going away for the week in a balcony stateroom to our favorite beach with all meals included for $600/person. I recently spent almost $2k to travel by myself to Antigua for 5 days for a wedding. For me, worth the upgrade and just dealing with NCL thus far.

Interestingly enough the person on the phone gave me a quote for the upgrade sent me the email and her email shows she works for NCL casino reservation rep. So made me think it can be transfer but who knows. Seems like no one here has done it.

When making my reservation for a Casino at Seas offer (free but not really...$20 per day for some sort of administrative fees), I was asked if I wanted my usual ta listed on the reservation.  I did.  Now, whenever an email comes in, I receive it ... and then my TA sends me what she received.  So, I'm guessing she's on it.  And, her name is at the top of the reservation though she had nothing to do with any of the booking of it.

traditionally, TAs have been able to book CAS reservations, however many no longer do this because, according to some TAs, NCL has drastically reduced their compensation for casino cruises. not sure how true that is, but that's what some TAs have said. this may not apply to all TAs, but perhaps to some who either cut corners, didn't provide a high level of service or had too much volume (or too little volume)... i can only speculate.

i have only used CAS to book comped casino cruises and have been very happy.

i generally don't go to a steak house for a good piece of fish, it's not their thing. similarly, i don't go to an all-purpose travel agent to book an NCL casino cruise. they know the ship (usually), but they don't know the ins and outs of casino promos.

YMMV.
