Hotels in Buenos Aires

Dear Cruisers,

 

         We will be doing an Antartica cruise in February 2023. Looking for hotel suggestions in Buenos Aires that are great for sightseeing areas and possibly near the cruise port terminal. It would be appreciated, since we will  be staying 3 days prior to the cruise, any suggestions of must things to see and do? Since this is our first and probably our last time in Buenos Aires, any helpful tips would be appreciated to maximize our vacation. Also, how does one dress in Buenos Aires during the month of February. Thanks in advance for any help....Bill

We were in Buenos Aires in March of this year.  Silver  Seas booked us at the Alvear Palace.  It was beautiful and centrally located.  the hop n Hop off bus stopped right outside.  The weather was warm, but not too hot-75-80 degrees.  It rained off and on.

I'm booking this as well and noticed that zenhotels.com has excellent prices for the NH City Buenos Aires and NH Collection Buenos Aires Centro Historico when searching via Google Hotels, although the rates today are higher than they were last night although still a good deal. They both seem to get good ratings. When we had planned to do this cruise this year, I had found a great rate at the Hilton, but that's not cheap right now.
