Westerdam will be making her first visit to Juneau this season on Tuesday.  She will be at the CT dock from 1 pm to 9 pm.

 

A busy day with five other cruise ships in port.  Norwegian Bliss will be at the AJ dock (7 am - 1:30 pm) with Norwegian Encore taking her place from 2:30 pm to 11 pm.  Celebrity Millennium will be at the AS dock (7 am - 9:30 pm), Royal Princess at the Franklin Street dock (8 am - 9 pm), and Carnival Miracle will be tendering (8:30 am - 8:30 pm).

 

Weather will be a little nicer than Monday with a high of 61F/16C and a low of 44F/7C with showers in the morning (50% chance of rain) but turning partly cloudy in the afternoon.  Sunrise is at 3:51 am and sunset at 10:05 pm.

We were supposed to be on this ship but cancelled because we didn’t want to fly to Seattle with all of the uncertainties .  We booked the itinerary as the Osterdam (now in Europe) and HAL switched the ship to the Westerdam.  Then earlier bookings were cancelled so this became the Westerdam’s first cruise since the shut down.  The last time we were in Juneau we were on the Maasdam and had to tender in the pouring rain.  Best wishes for fair weather to the Westerdam, it’s crew and guests.

Westy in Channel just outside the harbor. With so many ships in port, she may not show until she enters the harbor. 

 

Then she gets blocked once she docks behind X Millenium. And the cam is still panning.

This is Westy's first trip in - she may take a little longer today..
