I have one of those 1a cabins on dream with one twin and 1 convertible sofa. I dont like hard beds. I'm a no on sleeping on the sofa. Lol. Too late to add someone on that one .. next year april to nov wide open. I'm looking for a deal. Everything went up. I'm not booking anything right now other than what's in my signature I'm sitting on my hands. 

I am usually solo but only share cabins with family now. My sister and daughters.

The double pricing is a pain but occasionally a deal crops up. 

1As on the Carnival Splendor to Alaska July 5th had no solo supplement.

The thing with the port hole is that it's considered "inside stateroom" but you still have a "window". Its cheaper than an oceanview

I know..... That is why I asked the OP if it 'Has To Be' a porthole & if they would 'Consider' an Oceanview.
