Any knowledge on what Celebrity uses for Well Liquor?

Hi folks, I've read quite a few threads regarding the packages on Celebrity and what is covered, but I have never seen any information on which brands Celebrity uses for well drinks.  Do they use a variety of the brands from the classic package or do they have a level of liquor below the classic brands.

If I recall correctly,  about 5 years ago when Celebrity offered a "standard" drink package below the Classic package,  they specified that it covered mixed drinks made with an unspecified well liquor.  I'm just not sure if they still have lower shelf brands on board now that most everyone is on classic or premium plans.  If so, it seems to necessitate calling your liquor whatever your package.

What is "Well liquor "???

It's what they serve you if you don't specify a brand.  It's the cheap stuff on the "speed" rack (in the well) attached to the bar, which the bartender can easily reach when they are serving you.

It's what you get when you order:

  • Gin and Tonic
  • Scotch and Soda
  • Vodka and club soda
  • Bourbon and water

We were on Reflection last month and while sitting at the bar in the casino, I was watching them make drinks with liquor I  have never heard of. There were free drinks offered in the casino, so not sure if this liquor was being used for those people who had no package or for everyone. Assuming it was for those with no package because I didn’t see them make every drink with it. I couldn’t even tell you the brand, as it was nothing I have ever heard of and don’t remember the name.

I imagine it varies with what they can get at a good price.  I typically call my liquor, so I don't pay much attention to what's in the well.  I do recall Gordon's gin at the Martini Bar recently.  I want to say the rum was Castillo on at least one of our recent cruises, but I also believe I saw McCormick's on at least one cruise.  I clearly recall that Scotch was Dewar's white label.  Vodka has been Smirnoff or Tito's.  I don't know about anything else.
