GT38 Posted June 26, 2022 #1 Share Posted June 26, 2022 On our recent June 11th cruise to the New England Islands on the American Star, a couple of the passengers become very ill near the end of the cruise. My self and several additional passengers tested positive for COVID when they go back to their homes. The Captain had announced that two crew members tested positive and were removed from the ship. All passengers had tested negative for COVID by the cruise line before boarding the ship.
Izena Posted July 5, 2022 #2 Share Posted July 5, 2022 We had same issues on constitution. Overall I felt the crew was apathetic no excitement are investment in their jobs. I was prepared to sign up for 2 more cruises when I got on the cruise but leaving will never cruise ACL again.
Pilot70D Posted July 19, 2022 #3 Share Posted July 19, 2022 We too were on the Constitution for this cruise. We now refer to this cruise as the cruise from hell. Understaffing was a problem throughout this cruise and then we had the COVID outbreak. ACL was in no way equipped or ready to handle this outbreak. This was our third cruise with ACL. There will not be a fourth.

Sorry that happened to you just as you became eligible for their Eagle Society benefit reward of complimentary premium level shore excursions after 3 cruises.
