Kansas Gal Posted July 5, 2022 #1 Share Posted July 5, 2022 Anybody that's cruised to Alaska recently - I have several questions about the new seafood menu announced by Princess this spring. Is it the same menu night after night or does it change daily? Is it the same menu in the MDR as the specialty dining? Thanks!
OriginalBoat Posted July 5, 2022 #2 Share Posted July 5, 2022 The MDR menu changes each night. The specialty dining is a different menu that does not change. Someone posted the new Alaska the menu's here:
miagirl Posted July 5, 2022 #3 Share Posted July 5, 2022 For "North to Alaska" the Crown Grill has added an Alaskan crab cake for an additional $5.00. I didn't try it. Otherwise it's the same menu as before.
Sherrica Posted July 6, 2022 #4 Share Posted July 6, 2022 Last week on Discovery in the main dining rooms four or five different things were offered each night and noted on the menu with a "Local Eats Alaska Flavors" symbol. The final night included Alaska-Style Fish Soup, Grilled Kingklip Palermitana, Alaskan Crab Risotto and Wild Alaska Seared Sockeye Salmon. I had the Risotto and it was good but not spectacular. Sorry I'm not able to post pictures today. I think the salmon was offered every night, but prepared different ways.

The Crown Grill has the crab cake, king salmon, and prime rib 12 and 18 oz. for an upcharge ($5/$10/$10/$15 respectively) , and there was salmon offered most nights in the main dining room, with various sauces/sides, the Alaska-style fish soup made an appearance, along with salmon gravlax, and cod, and a blueberry cobbler/crumble dessert. I did have the salmon one evening, and it was well-prepared, and the blueberry cobbler was enjoyable.
