Seaside New Mechanical Issues

Good morning,

I know the Seaside has been chugging away since May but I saw a letter from a passenger onboard her now that sounds a bit more ominous.  There was a technical inspection of a new issue that is persistent.  MSC is allowing passengers to stay on the ship with a 50% discount or disembark for a full refund.  The cruises on July 10 and 17 have been removed from the website and I have been told by someone on the 10th sailing that her cruise has been cancelled.  We are supposed to board her on the 17th.  Our TA knew nothing of this as of last evening.  Does anyone have any more information on this?  Thanks for any insight.

A post on the original thread on FB asks that it is not shared because MSC have not officially announced it.

I won't post it.  But I really do appreciate the information.

There’s a few threads on Twitter (mainly in Italian) confirming it.

I was onboard last week and there was an overnight breakdown after Marseille, the ship hasn’t made better than 15kt since (design speed is 22).
