So you basically had two accounts - one with the included "slow" but unlimited wifi and the other account (different login name?) with the 90minutes high speed internet?

Hi, long time no "sea",

Yes, we had 2 accounts [displayed one after another on the screen] -- "basic" and "elite", and we had to be very careful to log in and out every time we switched between them.

You'll have to insist to have them available both....

I just recognized when I hit the submit button - nice to "sea" you still around here. Hope you are doing good!

I was on the Apex in December 2021 and very frustrated about the free internet not allowing me to send any picture. I wish I knew that "trick" before, but at least I learned now. Thank you!

We just got back from Beyond.

Being Elite, each of us got the 90 minutes free.

One IMPORTANT thing !!

We had the "free wi-fi" included, whether we liked it or not. Turns out the "free" is very basic -- just enabling you to check emails and send whatsapp. NO pictures.

I've voiced my disappointment [to the CC concierge] in the somewhat useless perk, and was told to use the 90 minutes for sending pictures.

BUT, they wanted to start the 90 minutes immediately... I told them "until I'm back in my cabin, there goes 10 minutes". I was pleased to see that they've seen my point, and gave me the 2 options -- to switch between the "basic" and the "Elite".

So, when I wanted to send pics, I logged out from the "basic", and then returned to it after sending the pics.

Thank you...was going to ask this question.

When the 90 minutes runs out...does it just stop or do they start to charge extra to your room. We've always had streaming included and can't remember how this works?

When you switch to the "Elite" account, the amount of minutes available is displayed. When we finished it, suddenly we had no connection to internet.

No, there were no additional charges after the 90 mins.

Between the "basic", "elite" and free wi-fi in this intensive itinerary (Med), we managed just OK...

That's great, thanks for the reply. We are usually ok in Europe as we get free internet, coming from the UK but US and the Caribbean, we have to rely on free wifi etc

They increased the discount on the beverage package upgrade and are bringing back some events that were discontinued  with Covid.

Yes, the discount on upgrading beverage packages has increased, from 10% to 15% for elite+ but they have now also added a mandatory 20% tip fee when you upgrade.  Yesterday on the phone I was given the quote of $126 pp to upgrade my drink package on our 14 day cruise, but it became $151.25 with the mandatory 20% gratuity charge.

The discount off a beverage package is rather interesting. Previously this applied to casino tiers only. In fact I believe that the casino discount is only 10% so with the new discount being 15% I could call in and reprice and package.
