Does one HAVE to use the Medallion?

Those who don't want Princess to "track them" are in one or more of the following categories:

 

1. Have an elevated opinion of themselves.

2. Actually believe somewhere Princess has a building somewhere where thousands of employees track and report their every move.

3. Engaging in non-spousal romantic activities in a different cabin,

4. Hiding location from spouse/partner (see also number 3)

 

The tracking is mostly to collect metadata which allows Princess to determine venue usage for future use. Yes, they can find you in emergency situations, or as cited earlier, when the steward needs to see if you are out of the cabin.

Category 1 seems the most appropriate. 

Some people really are paranoid !

Does the medallion allow a person to track another person? Would someone be able to tell if their wife was at a razzle dazzle or good smells shop and allow them to get there prior to needing a HELOC on their house?

Yes you can track another person, if you set up the app correctly. 

But, even if you see where your other half is, can you get to the shop in time!

I wish they would use that location function to find people who are late to meet up for the walk through during a B2B cruise. 😄
