NYC cab fare to Brooklyn Terminal

Does anyone have recent experience with an estimate price on NYC cab fare from Central Times Square to Brooklyn Cruise Terminal?  We just want to have an idea.  Don't want to pay the quoted fares of a limo for several hundred dollars for the round trip.  Thank you very much.

An UberX is about $60 each way. The taxi is usually nearly similar but will be based on the meter so will depend on traffic, route, etc. Personally I would take the Uber.

Uber has killed taxis and limo services for non-business (and a lot of business) trips. And you may well get one of the car services' drivers making the Uber trip.

 

BTW, Google maps will show you an estimate for today for Lyft in their app. Uber won't be much different.

It is about nine miles. Base fare would be $25, plus tunnel toll ($6.55), any applicable surcharges (up to $4.30), and tip.
