Tooncamp Posted July 9, 2022 #1 Share Posted July 9, 2022 Staying 1 block from Pike place market. How can we get to the waterfront to go to Pier 66 without a tremendous amount of steps. Will have 1 large suitcase and backpack. Is this doable or should we just Uber over?
Glaciers Posted July 10, 2022 #2 Share Posted July 10, 2022 Depending on where exactly you’re starting from, I’d suggest heading north on Western Ave to Elliott Ave to Bell St. Pier 66 is one block west down Bell St. There is an elevator down to street level. It would be about ½ mile and fairly flat. You can go direct down to the waterfront and walk along Alaskan Way but there is a lot of pedestrian traffic that route. https://goo.gl/maps/GVAoaeqBrTe8Gmdd9

Glaciers is correct. Having stayed at the Marriott Waterfront near Pier 66, I have seen many, many guests during all of my stays pulling luggage along the sidewalk. OP, if you choose to do this, you will not be alone. On a nice Seattle day, it's a scenic walk to the pier.
