baron9 Posted July 19, 2022 #1 Share Posted July 19, 2022 Has anyone disembarked from the spirt from one of the last two cruises. What time did self Walk off actually begin and what time did normal walk off with sending the luggage the night before begin. Sailing next Wednesday and for the third time our flight home has been canceled already on aug 5 and there are not very good options left. Trying to determine how early the flight could be. CptBoatface Posted July 19, 2022 #2 Share Posted July 19, 2022 We got off 7/6 self assist by 8:30 or so. Gold status was about that time as well for disembark
CptBoatface Posted July 19, 2022 #3 Share Posted July 19, 2022 Only carry ons, though, so unsure about luggage retrieval
baron9 Posted July 19, 2022 Author #4 Share Posted July 19, 2022 Thank you cptboatface. Does mean on the pier at 830 or leaving the ship at 830. We’re you one of the first off?
CptBoatface Posted July 19, 2022 #5 Share Posted July 19, 2022 Pretty easy disembark we were walking down about 8:15, we could have gone first off self, but needed more breakfast. Took only about 10 min to get off no real line. Cruise was 1264 pax. Traffic was good but it can be tough out here. I'd be careful of flight prior to
Rare www3traveler Posted July 19, 2022 #6 Share Posted July 19, 2022 Depending on what airline you are flying and what time your flight is, you MAY QUALIFY for the Port Valet Program. Your luggage goes straight to your airline at the airport and you pick it up at your home airport. Information about the Program can be found in your Freestyle Daily and at the Guest Services Desk. baron9 Posted July 20, 2022 Author #7 Share Posted July 20, 2022 cptboatface thanks for the information. How was the cruise. Anything to definitely see/do and not to see/do
CptBoatface Posted July 20, 2022 #8 Share Posted July 20, 2022 We won the weather lottery and it was amazing, clear and warm. We did not do any organized shore excursions on the trip. The Alaskan lumberjack show in Ketchikan was great and walkable fro the main pier. Previous top notch trips were a floatplane trip to fjords in Ketchikan and a helicopter ride to Mendenhall glacier. Weather is a big factor in whether these are good or not
Sundiego Posted July 20, 2022 #9 Share Posted July 20, 2022 We're sailing the Bliss out of Seattle and have the same problem... flight has been changed a few times. I've been reading the West Coast departure board. General consensus is that any flights before 11:00 am would be stressful and iffy. It also depends on if you have TSA-Precheck to speed things up at the airport. Seatac's port valet service is highly recommended, but it's only available for flights departing after twelve noon. julig22 Posted July 20, 2022 #10 Share Posted July 20, 2022 Seattle also has a reservation system akin to TSA pre-check. Never used it because I have pre-check but the details would be on the airport web page. Might save a little time but traffic is probably the biggest hurdle, not the airport check-in. Flights before 11 or 12 can be nails biters!
