Earliest time to book flights after leaving Splendour in Venice

Recommended Posts

I am trying to book flights for our Splendour cruise in October. I am considering a flight that departs Venice (Marco Polo) at 12.15. Is this too early? How long does it take to get from the ship to the airport? Can I purchase a transfer through RCI or is there a better way of getting there?

Thanks

Julie

If your ship is arriving in Venice on Sept 30 the day before your cruise ends on Oct 1 as ours did when we ended a cruise in Venice in 2003, they will begin transferring people to the airport as early as 4:30 AM in the morning so you probably will be able to make a 12:15 PM flight at Marco Polo airport. It is about 1/2 hour or so drive from the port. The simplest way to get there from the ship would be the ships transfer. That way you can put your luggage out the night before and pick it up at the airport the next morning. You will be going by bus while your luggage will have gone by truck.

Have a great next cruise.
