Casino Question

We are sailing on the July 31st Rotterdam cruise.  We were each given "Free Play," however, we were not given VIP status (no drinks while playing, no special events, etc.).  I have seen people given these perks after playing in the casino.  Question -- has anyone been successful getting these perks when meeting with the casino host prior to playing in the casino (on embarkation day)?  We have always been considered casino VIPs except for this particular cruise.

When still onboard and getting a deal from the casino it is often just for free play (depends on your play of course, as others have reported getting more).  When we get a "free cabin" offer via email while at home it normally includes the cabin, free play and drinks.  Once again, offers do vary based on your play rating. 

 

You can always ask when in the casino - one time I was surprised that I received a free drink card from the casino while based on my wife's deal.

I have gotten all kinds of comps and once in a while free drinks.I think it’s how busy the casino is and spending money helps.

When HAL sends out offers for special events such as a slot or blackjack tournament free drinks are included for both guests in the room. Very rarely will you receive free play on one of their special event offers. When they send you free play the only way to get free drinks in the casino is pretty much to earn them by your play.
