Do you mean friends and family of MSC corporate?

Did not even think about this group, but probably a good guess considering all the officers have this privilege. Was only told that it was officers' friends and family. In our lives the phrase 'Happy wife, happy life' is one we live by. On these ships it is 'Happy Captain, happy crew".

P.S. Got the impression that these friends and family can be more demanding.

Noticed this morning while trying to find our way out of the port more advertising FREE covid tests in the swale in front of Garage D. They really are FREE. 20 minute results emailed and accepted by the cruiselines. PortMiami has two COVID-19 test sites on PortMiami. Cruise Terminal J and the drive up site located at 625 Florida Way. Miami FL 33132. Both are open daily from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Get the updates and find testing sites. https://www.miamidade.gov/portmiami/ I posted picture of the tents in Parking Lot E across the street from Terminal E and the Seashore. The Florida Way entrance is really for the parking lot E. The entrance for FREE test is a sharpe left off Tropic Drive into (blue) Lot E (see below).

You should get paid for your wealth of information. When we were onboard  an Italian officer had two little Italian ladies around him. The 3 of them took up no space so to speak. But NINE, that's pushing it when the club is already crowded. As long as it was not guests bringing in outsiders/friends.

We were booked in the YC and we have a couple who we are friends with that wanted to book a cheap regular room and join us in the YC. We explained they can do what they want but they will not be seeing us that week. There was no way we were going to sneak them in. They would need to pay to play. The price differential is too great to allow this.

They had to be someone who knows someone high up in the food chain. He did not do that with the 3 we saw. They were very quiet speaking Italian. Perhaps when you go back and a new YC director is on board, one of the staff will say who it was. I believe Dr. Yannis is going home soon and coming back to run the Seascape.

Those sofa and coffee tables are still here.

Based on the photo that I saw, there were no tables/chairs in those areas.  There were seating for those waiting to be seated or who were simply "hanging around".

Yannis left 2 weeks ago. His replacement is a Mr. Di Paolo and is so new that the invitation we got to Farewell Cocktail Party , Captain Galano and hotel director Mr. Di Palma (even the staff misspelled his name).

That would have been a shock To Francesco Di Palma to find he had been demoted from Master to Hotel Director!😄
