We got too a Super Casino offer so we just booked this cruise for next year! So excited! This is going to be our cruise(BF and I) where we are going to be a Platinum VIFP. We are 3 guys 37-46yo from Montréal. We have 3 cruises on the Freedom next year 🙂

First off, congratulations on making Platinum on this TA cruise!! The laundry service is helpful on longer cruises!! Be sure to place orders what the dates you want those chocolate strawberries delivered, they don’t get delivered to your room automatically.

We are Mike and Diane (active 60s and full time Rvers )and another similar couple will all be on this cruise. We are big card and game players on sea days. ( Catan, Hand & Foot, Mexican train, etc) . Always room for more if you see us spread out on a large table!!!

Happy to answer any questions you may have.

Are you familiar with Barcelona?

We are on this cruise too and we’ve never been to Barcelona. I’ve been so busy handling our summer 12 day London cruise that I’m just now getting around to booking hotels and tours for our Barcelona cruise in October. We will look into the hotel you suggested in Barcelona, but what about Madrid? We are flying in 4 days early and staying 2 days in Madrid then taking a train to Barcelona and staying there a couple more days before going on the cruise. Flying into Madrid was much cheaper for us and we’ve never been there either.

Crusinqt, I haven't been to Madrid in a very very long time.

I'm sure there's some on this thread who can help.

13Brenda13, if you stay at the same hotel at the beginning & end of your stay in Europe, you might be able to arrange for luggage storage.

what about Madrid?

In January of 2020 we did an awesome trip visiting Madrid and Rome.  I liked our hotel fine, but I just found it on Booking.com.  nothing too special.  My biggest tip for Madrid is the Rick Steves walking tour.  It's free off his app, download it, pop in headphones, follow directions and enjoy!

If you like art museums, I'm sure you already know that the Prado is in Madrid. However, my cousin with the PhD in fine art recommended the Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza across the street, and she knew what she was taking about.  I liked it much better than the Prado. 🤷. While I was taking in Art Museums my hubby and son did a guided day trip out to day trip out to Roman ruins.  There's also an Egyptian Temple in Madrid (and a palace of course!).  It's an awesome city, have fun!

I knew about the museums and the palace but I had no idea about the Roman ruins or Egyptian Temple. That’s sounds so cool! I hope I can fit all of that into 2 days.

Bermuda is best known for it beautiful warm water! If you enjoy snorkeling, there are numerous options. Some include to ship wrecks and caves.

We got the casino offer as well and will be on the ship too!  Cannot wait!  Hubby is a card player and seriously enjoys the casino, so if you are down there you will see him.  I'm more into the sea days and hanging out but I'm there at night too.  We are catching another cruise from Barcelona to Mediterranean ports then have a week in Spain before we catch the Freedom back, we're not sure where we're going then yet.
