Springhill Suites in Galveston

Has anyone stayed at Springhill in Galveston?  Just wondering how it is for a one night pre cruise stay?

It has been a few years now, but have stayed there.  It is off to the right just as you come into the island.  At that time was a typical Springhill stay nothing special nor at that time anything disappointing.  Do not remember any places to eat within walking distance.
