October deck parties

A question for any experienced cruisers that have cruised in October, I was wondering about the Halloween party that the Carnival ships have that month. The Vista has the Sail Away deck party, 80's Rock-N-Glo party, and the Hot White Night. Do you know if the Halloween party is in addition to these or does it happen to replace one of the parties. I know schedules are not written in stone and can change. I really want to go all out but I hope to avoid spending money and packing things that I may not even use.

A lot of people go all out for Halloween on Carnival. I know on Halloween itself there is a costume contest with many participants. Pumpkin carving, etc. The ship is decorated with a Halloween theme. I don't know about month long celebrations, but surely some activities will be common

Carnival's website states they celebrate Halloween on each sailing in October. My guess is that the Halloween cruise was so popular that they came up with the idea of making the entire month a holiday. Was just hoping some past October cruisers could share experiences.

They definitely go all out all month for Halloween. We sailed on Breeze last year in the middle of the month and it was very cool! The atrium was all decorated, bars had special Halloween-themed drinks, there were different activities going on. The big Halloween deck party replaced the 80's party on our cruise, but that was a 5-nighter instead of the Vista's 7 -- Also, I think the parties are up to the CD, so ymmv. But there was a costume contest with tons of people dressed up, and it was neat to see. We'll be back on Breeze at the same time this year, and looking forward to it!
