SYD-YYZ Posted March 1, 2006 #1 Share Posted March 1, 2006 Has anyone make a booking on a cruise, find a cheaper price (by a few hundred dollars) on another website and then ask for a price match? Has it been successful?
SYD-YYZ Posted March 1, 2006 Author #2 Share Posted March 1, 2006 Sorry I also meant to ask if you have to transfer your booking to another agency and whether that is a lot of work?
molly361 Posted March 2, 2006 #3 Share Posted March 2, 2006 I have booked directly thru the cruiseline and then transferred it to a TA to save money- I just had to call the cruise line and notify them that I was transferring the booking and to whom and then the TA calls them and gets their commission and you get the lesser price and keep the cabin that you had chosed- It was pretty easy to do for me- I have a cabin on hold for a 2007 cruise (wanted this specific cabin) and I am waiting til the time gets closer and price hopefully drops and will transfer it at that time
