Explorer to Bermuda...Salt or Fresh Water Pool?

Just curious if the pool is salt or fresh water. I remember my first cruise at agr 7 on Carnival the pool was salt water and I hated it (not a big ocean swimming fan)

All the main pools are salt-water. Hot tubs are fresh, treated water. I know some don't like ocean swimming, but there are no "critters" in the pool! And salt water is better for your skin (and swimsuit) than chlorine!

I guess they changed it. When we went on the Explorer in May 2004 the pools were fresh water.

I read somewhere on this board, they were all salt water because its so easy to keep clean. They can empty and refill them in about 20 minutes If I recall correctly.

Didn't know that, whats it do? kill bacteria i assume?
