Coki Beach has a party atmosphere with several food stalls with adult beverages. There's usually someone there renting jet skis.

I keep seeing Sapphire Beach come up, do you have a comparison to that and Coki Beach?

Coki is a smaller beach and so it is the most crowded beach on cruise ship days. A very busy vibe with a mix of couples and families, “canned” music, and vendors vying for your business…If you want busy Coki is it.

Sapphire is a bit larger bay and home to a few condo resorts. There is a beach bar, live music, food and rentals. This is our choice for gorgeous views, the live music and a less crowded vibe. So not a “party atmosphere”, but a lively and fun spot.

You can read reports from recent visitors in previous posts…

Margaritaville has live music, but not sure where they publish their schedule. Most live music now isn't offered at a time that works for cruisers.

Cruisers have live music on the ship so may not be a priority for them.

The venues in Red Hook cater to residents and overnight visitors because the entertainment is always at night.

Most visitors are in the water during the day so most entertainment starts late afternoon or early evening.

The Kontiki boat is usually where people go to party during the day. They should have live music, but since storms/covid that may not be the case right now. Kontiki used to go to Honeymoon Beach on Water Island.

What about the strip in Red Hook with Duffy's Love Shack, Fatty's, Bernie's, The Tap, etc.?

Not enough beach?

No beach, just the marina. But when the bars open it is a very lively spot!
The best live Muzak op is in the evening of course. We’ve not been to Sapphire recently, but many day visitors report enjoying live music there disputing the day…

We once enjoyed musicians at other beach locations but they are no more…
