amajaa Posted September 10, 2022 #182 Share Posted September 10, 2022 (edited) Anyone on board at the moment, did the Captain announce the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II? We were onboard last week, pleased we weren't at sea when it happened, so sad. I know it has been reported that MSC Virtuosa and at least one of the Celebrity ships cancelled the parties planned for that night . Cunard, sister line to Princess, cancelled all the shows and other entertainment and I understand that some, if not all Princess ships did the same. amajaa Posted September 11, 2022 #184 Share Posted September 11, 2022 I see Emerald Princess is in Belfast today so they hopefully might have heard the Proclamation read out for the new King and the cannons etc.

andimark Posted September 27, 2022 #198 Share Posted September 27, 2022 I found that because they downsized the Patters, not all the events were listed, and we missed a couple of things we were interested in. Near the end of the cruise we found out we needed to scroll thru the onboard displays to see all the events (not very "user-friendly" if you need to keep getting up to go find one), or you could use the Medallion app (but you need to carry your phone everywhere). We're just too old-school, I guess!

We're just too old-school, I guess! Downsizing the Patter would be horrible for us. We rely on it each day and circle what we plan to do. Trying to look at the schedule with the app or on the TV is just an exercise in frustration as you spend all of your time scrolling and scrolling and scrolling and you cannot mark things.
