Carriecruises Posted March 2, 2006 #1 Share Posted March 2, 2006 I was looking at the pictures on RCI website and it shows a curtain dividing the room. I am booked in an interior stateroom and this sounds great to keep from waking my BF up in the early morning. Can anyone verify if they do indeed have them? PSCruiser Posted March 2, 2006 #2 Share Posted March 2, 2006 No, on the Grandeur these were only short pieces of curtain - as large as they appear in the picture. They cannot be drawn closed. He can sleep at home - wake him up!
B J Posted March 2, 2006 #3 Share Posted March 2, 2006 On the Vision class ships they do actually divide the room, (Splendour,Rhapsody, and Vision)
Yooper38 Posted March 2, 2006 #4 Share Posted March 2, 2006 What about on the Voyager? The curtain would be handy for changing clothes when you have 2 kids in the room with you.
RiverRev Posted March 2, 2006 #5 Share Posted March 2, 2006 Sorry Yooper, it's just a decorative feature to break up a long wall. It is not a curtain.
PSCruiser Posted March 2, 2006 #6 Share Posted March 2, 2006 Now I'm not so sure. I've had both interior and ocean-view on the Grandeur. When looking at the RC website, the picture of the ocean view shows a short piece of curtain on a short rail - and in my memory this is what the interior had also. However, the picture for interior shows curtains on both sides, and a rail going the whole way across the ceiling. i.e. I'm withdrawing my 1st comment - I don't know! Yooper38 Posted March 2, 2006 #7 Share Posted March 2, 2006 Sorry Yooper, it's just a decorative feature to break up a long wall. It is not a curtain. Oh poop, that would have been nice. I can just see us taking turns trying to get dressed in the little bathroom. Good thing we aren't very big people.
CRUSINGFAMILY Posted March 2, 2006 #8 Share Posted March 2, 2006 Carriecruises....the curtain is full length in "most" interior rooms. I have done 10 cruises with RCI and can only think of one room where there wasn't a curtain, full length that could be closed. By the way all those cruises except one was in an inside cabin. Various classes. Voyager definitely has the full floor to ceiling curtains that close as does Serenade. Hope this helps. The pictures are pretty accurate...they have to be or everyone would be complaining they didn't get what they were supposed to get!
cb at sea Posted March 2, 2006 #9 Share Posted March 2, 2006 It may be "full length". but I don't think it extends very far into the room. I think there's more room in the actual cabin to dress than in the bathroom, as well.
Janice M Posted March 3, 2006 #10 Share Posted March 3, 2006 Whoever is looking for more room, we have the room attendant make the queen size bed made into twin beds. This gives a lot more room for moving around in.

I am booked in an interior stateroom and this sounds great to keep from waking my BF up in the early morning. Can anyone verify if they do indeed have them? Any RCI have a curtain which in the evening they pull across to seperate it from the bathroom dressingtable but it does not do anything to seperate the sleeping arrangements ie. beds. It is useful if you wish to leave a bathroom light on to guide you but it will not have your desired effect' SUE
wrp96 Posted March 3, 2006 #12 Share Posted March 3, 2006 I am on Brilliance now in an inside room. There is a curtain dividing the bed from the rest of the room. And it is a full curtain. However, you can still hear stuff on the other side.
dmc Posted March 3, 2006 #13 Share Posted March 3, 2006 I have sailed on both the Voyager and Explorer of the Seas. We had an interior room on the Voyager and an ocean view on the Explorer. Both cabins had a curtain that separated the sleeping area from the rest of the room. The curtain went all the way across and was great for keeping the light out when I got up before my DH. tngirl1979 Posted March 3, 2006 #14 Share Posted March 3, 2006 Does Enchantment of the Seas have the full length across curtain in the rooms?
ntsurf Posted March 3, 2006 #15 Share Posted March 3, 2006 Yes, our interior on EOS did have the curtain
Marge106 Posted March 3, 2006 #16 Share Posted March 3, 2006 Our superior oceanview (lol) on the Enchantment only had less than 1/2 of a curtain
tngirl1979 Posted March 3, 2006 #17 Share Posted March 3, 2006 Did the curtin go all the way across? Were you in interior or oceanview? I was also wondering if the JS had a curtain that went all the way across on Enchantment?

Just came off of Vision of the Seas - it was long curtain, short rail. Decoration only.
