kikimom Posted August 30, 2022 #1 Share Posted August 30, 2022 Just got an email about my upcoming Bahama's cruise which said: THE CARNIVAL BEVERAGE POLICY. To ensure our under-21 guests don’t consume alcohol, we require picture ID and no longer allow guests to bring bottled beverages on board. Does this mean we can no longer bring a bottle of wine per adult on board?
kikimom Posted August 30, 2022 Author #2 Share Posted August 30, 2022 Answered my own question by searching on the webpage - bottle of wine per adult is still allowed.

With many changes taking place, you never know. Just a misleading ad. The good news is you can bring one bottle per person. Happy Cruising to you.

Yes, correct - 1 bottle of wine per adult is permitted. What they mean by no "bottled" beverages is twist top bottles of liquids like water bottles. This is to keep people from smuggling booze on. You can take 1 - 12pk of canned beverages like soda still though Edited August 31, 2022 by wemjam
bguppies Posted August 31, 2022 #8 Share Posted August 31, 2022 Am I crazy or didn't they ban any bottled beverages years ago?

I would be equally as crazy as I also think the changes to the bottle policy allegedly due to "smuggling" happened well before covid.

pc_load_letter Posted August 31, 2022 #13 Share Posted August 31, 2022 Interesting. I remember reading about people bringing on those pre-made protein drinks like Ensure, PureProtein etc when they may have been on a diet or dietary restrictions. Wonder if this kills brining those on since most are twist off plastic bottles. (Granted, you can get canned versions of most of those)

Your ID is your S&S card. When they swipe it, the system will let them know if the person is underage.
