Just received an email stating I'm getting a free bottle of water . Wow. I'm not even platinum

Red and up are afforded the water bottle. SO unless you are wet behind the ears new you get the water.

The bottle normally costs $3.95 onboard. Soon you’ll be Gold and also get a free drink the last seaday after 5:00, for a total of around $15 in perks.

Yes, you do!  You can pick it up at any bar, you can request it at dinner in the dining room if you wish, and you can also use the ones provided in your room (just be sure to tell your room steward you used one as your FREE bottle so they don't charge you - have read people have had issues if they didn't directly advised their steward which is why we just go to a bar ourselves or get it in dining room).

Are the bottles at the bars already cold? If so, I'll get mine there. Haven't cruised since they changed it up.

They are not usually cold

I've got the bottles at the Lido pool area bars (blue iguana etc) and they're cold. But not always. Limited refrigeration space behind the bars so they mostly put beer and the half-liter bottles in there.

All the stuff that used to be in your room you have to go get. The pin is at the picture studio, the water at the bar. And no coupon for the drink, you have to remember to ask for it.

With the exception on Splendor as one passenger said on another post, they no longer serve the bottle of water at the bar and to just grab the one in the cabin.
