I only tip on the food and beverage part.

Each customer gets to decide how much they tip, correct?  So why is it distressing to you that others tip based on the total amount?  Are they forcing you to tip on the total?  IMO, if someone wants to double the total and tip on that amount, I don't care.  It's on them.
