Hello everyone and good evening. Embarkation day. (WEEK 2). Boarding day on any cruise ship is very good. It is also very hectic. I don't really have any complaints about the first day of cruising, and I can't really put my finger on it, yet boarding day seems to be very hectic.(for me) But all is good, and I'm on a wonderful ship and I have seven more nights of cruise ship travel. I am very sure that the first night on any Cruise is also the best night of sleep for most passengers.

There were about 75 to 80 B2B cruisers this week. Royal Caribbean calls them consecutive cruisers.

We were issued our SeaPass cards around 8:15 am,  but we had to wait for a zero count on Oasis of the Seas. At 9:00 am there were still 400 passengers on board. . . At 9:15 we were still waiting for about 200 passengers to debark. By 9:30 there were still 22 passengers left. Around 9:40 we were all released, and we never left the Royal Theater. We were not required to go into the terminal. All is good.

Passenger started boarding around 10:30. An announcement was made on how many passengers will be boarding, but I miss the count.
I will find out tomorrow and post the details.

All cabins were open for us if we wanted to go to our cabin for anything. All cabins open for boarding passengers at 1pm
We had a consecutive cruiser lunch in the MDR, and  I was able to set up internet for my brother and his wife.

I spoke to the hotel directory, and he was confident that the operating show would in fact be functioning for all three shows this week.

Sail away was much different this week then last week. The weather was spectacular, with sunny skies and a light breeze. Passengers boarding this week we're ready to party. There were a lot of passengers out on the open decks of 15 - 16.

The music was pumping, and it seems like everyone on board wanted to have a good time. I was able to meet some wonderful Cruise Critic and FB members that I know, and it was wonderful to see them.

Tomorrow I have my Top Tier event that will be held in Studio B. I'll also have tears with an Officer tomorrow for lunch.

Here are a few pics from today. Thanks for tuning in.

Can you let us know what the menu is for the "tears with an Officer" lunch?  I'm thinking raw onion heavy with a mouthwash digestif perhaps? 😄

Ill be leaving the uk in a few weeks to board the oasis on 23rd october.   Ive never used the casino onboard a cruise.  Im interested in playing the sit and go poker.  Would love to know the way this works onboard, as in buy in and also how to pay.

Also ill be travelling with kids.  In the uk our cruise falls on our kids school hols.  Is this the case in the usa too?

Enjoying this thread and loving the real time updates on a cruise itinerary we are going on in a few weeks, so thank you for taking the time to do this.

For the US school's that have fall break, it's usually the 2nd/3rd week of October.

I think buy in varies but between $25 and $50 you can pay cash or by sea pass card but you will pay 5% on your card, best to take some dollars.

Good luck.

Hi Radio,

I’m loving your review, as always! We will also begin an Oasis B2B on Sept 25th, the day you debark.

I think you suggested earlier that Royal was providing your consecutive cruiser lunch at Giovanni’s Table. Am I mistaken?

We sailed a B2B on Symphony in 2018, and our lunch was provided at Jamie’s Italian. We loved the specialty restaurant treat.

It was originally going to be at Giovanni's table. That had changed because of many lunch reservations that had been planned by guests arriving.

Our B2B lunch was held in the MDR.

Hello everyone and good morning. Welcome to DAY 2 of "LIVE" from Oasis of the Seas.

On Day 2 we are traveling toward Port Canaveral with sunny skies and very calm seas. It's almost like a calm lake. The Seas may be getting rougher later, but most passengers are happy with the calm ocean. We are about 80 miles east of Cape Hatteras, NC. We may be picking up current from the Gulf stream very soon.

The passenger count this week is similar to last week. Oasis of the Seas currently has 5,665 passengers on board with 481 kids. Yesterday it seemed like there were 10,000 passengers, but that is just part of experiencing embarkation day.

The Tribute Band, Aeromyth left the ship yesterday but a new band, Phoenix is the showtime headliner.

I think I want to try open ice skating this week, but I'm not a good skater so I just need to try not to crash and burn.

Some people were asking about the laser tag. "Clash for Crystal City" and it appears to be complimentary. You have to make a reservation however and you must wear closed toe shoes.
That will be in Studio B between 5:00 and 8:00.

So far the weather for the first two days has been much better than last week. There has been a lot of sun, with no rain. I know that can change quickly but it's nice while it is here.

Here are a few pics from this morning.
Thanks for tuning in.
