Earliest time for flight question

I have a question for anyone who has disembarked in NYC.  Is it realistic to book a noon (domestic flight) departure from LGA?.  We are not sure how bad the traffic is heading to LGA from Manhatten cruise terminal in the morning.  Thanks!

Ask your TA.  O has recommended earliest flight times after disembarking.

And remember that any listed arrival time is a proposed time, at best.

Plus, you don't mention if this is the first USA port.  That could generate big customs and immigration processing time.

 

And what day of the week is that?

 

Pro tip:  When asking for information, it can never hurt to give ALL relevant information.

Thanks for the comments.  It's not the first US port but given it is a Friday, we have booked an afternoon flight (1:30).  If there are issues at LGA, weather issues or traffic is a probem etc. etc. there are later flights that day but not until 5:00 pm. but at least there are options!

We disembarked at the Manhattan Terminal last Saturday.  We were on the Insignia.  There was a mega cruise ship, a ship our size and us.  Immigration allocated 3 Immigration Officers for us.  About 600 passengers, each had to do a face to face with immigration.  It was slow.  Noon out of LGA?  Good luck.

On the same cruise with an 11:40 flight and had time to spare at LGA. BUT this was a Saturday.

If you are arriving during the week, I wouldn’t book a flight leaving before 1pm to be safe.
