Vaccines For Africa

Hello,

 

We are traveling for the first time via cruise to Cape Town.  I'm kind of lost as to what vaccines are recommended or needed if any.  We are three middle age adults with our fair share of ailments 🤪 traveling from the US (if that matters!). 

 

Any guidance would be really appreciated.

You can find recommended vaccines on the CDC's website. A local travel clinic can advise you and administer the vaccines and write any necessary prescriptions.

Hi and thanks so much for your response!  I checked out the CDC site and there is a good number of vaccines recommended. I am trying to get a feel for what seasoned cruisers actually vaccinate against.

I had a consult with a nurse and was told I needed, MMR, tetnus & polio booster, Hep A, Typhoid and as we are going to Zambia and a safari we would need Rabies too.
