OBC question

I just logged into our May 2023 cruise and we have $980 in on board credit????  I know we started with $600 and then I booked an excursion and ordered water.  I have no clue where the other money came from!!  It's not even my birthday LOL  How long will it take them to find a mistake?

I would call and ask.  If it is a mistake they will eventually find it and I would rather know before I spent it.

I second ray98 on this.  But here's hoping it's not a mistake and it's actually legit OBC that Carnival wants you to have for some reason.😁  Please let us know what Carnival tells you.  Good luck!

Thanks, I hope it was due to a price drop or something!!  I'll keep you posted.

It could be. Before my last cruise I got a call from my PVP telling me that he had looked for a price drop and found one and I was getting the difference in OBC. The cruise was already cheap enough that I never thought about looking since I didn't think it would go any lower, but he found me an extra $120 in OBC.

Typically though, if it was from a price drop you would have known about it. They don’t just give you money, you have to apply for the price drop and have it approved. Unless you have a TA and they did it for you.

I'm curious too (thanks for keeping us posted) - one of my family members recently had an issue with their $1000 gift card being posted to someone else's OBC account, but this occurred after we were on the ship (by guest services).  It was eventually resolved but (and Carnival gave us a complimentary dinner at the steakhouse to make up for it).

Just got off the phone with my PVP at Carnival.  The OBC is correct, woo hoo!!!  The cost of the cruise had gone down and it was added as on board credit along with the $600 rebooking from Covid.  We will definitely be using t his for excursions!!  I'm so glad I called to confirm.

It may have come from a covid cancelled cruise.

We changed dates about a month kept $500 in OBC and Cot an Additional $375 for a price drop  WWCD
