sc4125 Posted September 21, 2022 #26 Share Posted September 21, 2022 The OP was just asking a question - doesn't sound like she's trying to scam anyone. My daughter had the same question about a cruise booked on a casino deal that her husband received. Her 2 year old daughter, her husband and herself are booked on a Thanksgiving cruise that will include 3 other family members, so she is very excited to be able to go. Her husband may have an issue with work that would interfere with him being able to go. She called her PVP and asked how this would work if her husband can't get the issue taken care of. She's not trying to scam CCL, she just wants to know what to do if he can't go. He doesn't want to cancel because he's still working on being able to go, The PVP didn't have an absolute answer - she advised to wait until the last minute - if he is a no-show, my daughter should be prepared to pay the normal rate which she is willing to do. Her concern was whether she and her daughter would be denied boarding or if she would simply be charged the difference at the port.

How is this so difficult for people to comprehend? Whether 2 people pay $100 each that gets refunded as OBC or one person pays $200 that gets refunded as OBC, the cruise is effectively free because your fare is refunded as OBC. A solo cruiser is not penalized because the $200 paid still gets refunded as OBC.
