Usually (99%?) starboard side but technically, the ship can dock in either direction. When I book, I presume that starboard side will face the island.

When we went to Ocean Cay we turned and were pulled in backwards by a tug.  It was quite interesting to watch but I assumed by the set up that that would be the only way it would dock.

I've seen a few photos with the ship pointing the "wrong way" but most of the time, the bridge is pointing to the lighthouse.

I believe the starboard side of the ship is the preferred side for facing the island.  Makes it easier for the Master to sail from that position.

When I visited the island, I did not see a tug.  Things change!

Yes!

we had an aft balcony. There was a lot of noise where we were with the idling but it wasn’t bad elsewhere on the boat.
Drank my coffee hike we watched them throw the line, miss, have to fish it out, then hook it on to the tug.
