Marriott Hotel at Vancouver Airport -- Question

We will be flying in the day before our cruise out of Vancouver and will be staying at the Marriott Hotel Vancouver Airport.  The day of our cruise, we are thinking of taking the Sky Train down to Waterfront Station and board the ship at Canada Place.  Doable?  Can we walk from the hotel to the YVR train station?  Or, do we need the hotel shuttle to return us to the airport and then take the train.  Thanks in advance for your help.

I'd say it's eminently doable at ~800yds if you go the easy-to-follow, just-one-turn route or a little less if you cut corners by cutting through the mall. As long as you're confident you can schlep bags twice as far as on the other end from Waterfront to the pier, you'll be fine.

You would walk a lot less less taking hotel shuttle back to YVR, but then you'd also pay $5pp extra for the train tix with the Sea Island AddFare - so even with 2 people, that would more than pay the cost of a cab from hotel to station if the hotel shuttle won't drop you off there (driving route to airport goes the opposite direction so the shuttle would have to detour ~0.75km, depending how demanding management are about route and schedule keeping this may be no problem or no chance!)
