Waikiki transportation to cruise ship

We will be doing a ship shore excursion in Waikiki.  We have the option of continuing our stay in Waikiki on our own after the excursion but will need to find transportation back to the ship at Pier 11.

What are our options?  We do not use Uber.  Is taxi service readily available?

We are seniors from a small rural area and don’t have much big city knowledge.

Uber and Lyft are the easiest (and most likely cost effective) options for what you're describing-- worth considering downloading either of the apps and giving it a try. 

 

Otherwise there should be taxis available at the front of any major hotel along the beach.

I agree with Princeton that adding Uber or Lyft to your phone is worthwhile. If you don't have a smartphone, you can go to a hotel to get a taxi. If the bellman hails a cab for you, tip him a dollar or two (big city knowledge tip). Be sure and tip the cabbie too.
