Bora Bora - rent an e-moke?

Aloha, we will be on a Windstar cruise and wondering if we should rent an e-moke or car to check out Bora Bora? We aren't much for snorkeling or diving but love checking out new places if it's worth it.

OR... do you know a local who would like to show us around for $$?

We also just love being on the water (not so much under it) and wondering again if there would be more of a private rental to drive us around the island waterway and maybe stop for lunch somewhere?

I look forward to any advise you may have.

I would recommend you look into a Patrick's Tour.  Do a combo boat lagoon/beach BBQ and a 4x4 drive around the island.

You don't need to go snorkeling or get into the water --- but the colors of the water are not to be missed via a boat....such a different experience than seeing the water by land.

The boat excursion does stop in shallow water that you can stand in at a couple of their stops.  The Beach BBQ at Patrick's private beach is great fun & you can also wade into the beautiful warm water from the shore.  The lagoon is calm & shallow near his beach.
