Shellbelle28 Posted September 27, 2022 #1 Share Posted September 27, 2022 I just finished the ArriveCAN forms, and it says: "Travellers who qualify as fully-vaccinated with Government of Canada accepted vaccines and any accompanying children under 12 are no longer required to produce proof of a COVID-19 test result before their arrival at a land or marine port of entry." Is this new? Or is it just referring to not needing to do a test on arrival in the port city, vs. testing before embarkation?
dandelpino Posted September 27, 2022 #2 Share Posted September 27, 2022 It's poorly written to be honest. That applies to people entering by land or air. Cruise pax still need to provide a negative test (until 9/30).

(I'm testing anyway, I don't trust anything I read between now and our embarkation. I don't want to have to go do an expensive last minute test because I misread something or NCL and Canada aren't on the same page yet!) ByThePond Posted September 27, 2022 #4 Share Posted September 27, 2022 There are (until the end of this month) different rules for arrival by sea (non-cruise) and cruise travel.

This is what the official government website says: Pre-embarkation COVID-19 testing All travellers 5 years of age or older must have a COVID-19 test to board a cruise ship in Canada or to board a cruise ship that will dock in Canada at any point on the cruise. https://travel.gc.ca/travel-covid/travel-restrictions/cruise#pre-embarkation-test

The cancelled Getaway cruise on Thursday was from Miami to the southern caribbean. Not canada.
