CJANDH Posted September 29, 2022 #1 Share Posted September 29, 2022 New to Seabourn with a cruise planned for April 2023 in the Greek Isles. I have some on-board credits. Can I use them to pre-book shore excursions?
Rare FlyingScotSailors Posted September 29, 2022 #2 Share Posted September 29, 2022 First of all, enjoy your cruise to the Greek Isles and yes, you can go to Seabourn Square and have them change them from your credit card to your on board credit. It is easily done.
cruisr Posted September 29, 2022 #3 Share Posted September 29, 2022 You cannot use the shipboard credit to pre book shore excursions. You must pay for prebooked shore excursions with a credit card and then proceed as @FlyingScotSailors mentioned above. Seabourn Square will refund your credit card and the payment for the shorex will be applied to your bill and all onboard credits come off at the end of the cruise.

It makes no sense to me, but that is the Seabourn process. We much prefer the Regent process where, if you have OBC, you can use it to reserve special tours (most tours are included) or for other purposes well in advance of your cruise.
CJANDH Posted October 1, 2022 Author #5 Share Posted October 1, 2022 Thanks for the answers. Seems like a lot of extra work for the staff at Seabourn square as well as a pain for the customer. I am used to the Silversea and Regent process which seems more efficient.
