Hello cruisers.  If you used the transfer service from HAL, please help.  Can you share how you were transported from the hotel to the mainland to travel to Trieste? Approximately when did you check out from the hotel?  Do you need to walk your luggage to a water taxi station; then again to a bus?  Details, please.

I can only sort of answer your question.  Ten years ago we sailed Nieuw Amsterdam from Venice.  We went in a day or more early, and stayed in the hotel that HAL was using, though our TA did not book it through HAL.  We found out when in the morning there were lots of bags with HAL tags in the lobby, and people wandering around.  I believe they load all the bags in water taxis and transport separately.  Guest’s travelled separately, although we were sailing from marattima in Venice.  EM
