Loreto Horseback ride not impressed

Recently took horseback ride in Loreto, as a cruise ship excursion, would not recommend.  Horses not taken care of, mine was constantly stumbling, said had a recent injury. Concerned horse was going to go down.  

A few horses unrideable.  Lots of bugs and a few people got mosquito bites.  Would not give refunds.  Got brushed with cactus.  Beach part not good.    Would like to hear if anyone has taken the canyon hikes.

We are booked to 'trek' the Fossil Canyon in early January on a HAL ship tour. I am too heavy for the Mexican horses!

What is the weight limit? I’m guessing that I am over despite recent weight loss.

I don't remember in particular, but going back to our Panama Canal transit in 2013, I just remember at that time that both I and dr'spin were over the limit.
