This is a picture from the desk area in Discovery Princess standard balcony cabin S222. By the way, that device on the right-hand side of the desk is a port expander I bought to fit into the European E/F type electrical outlet, which leaves the 2 existing US type outlets free while adding 2 more and 3 USB charging ports. Also works great for hotels when travelling in Europe. Edited October 9, 2022 by 5:00_Somewhere correct posting error

Tessan Euro E/F outlet expander There are others that are similar with different configurations, but I've always found this worked best for the most different outlet locations. Rare Rick&Jeannie Posted October 9, 2022 #5 Share Posted October 9, 2022 There are also European style plug(s) behind the bed...if you use a CPAP you can get an adapter for that and not have cords running across the floor.
Rare trbarton Posted October 9, 2022 Author #6 Share Posted October 9, 2022 Here’s what I have from Amazon. It’s $20 & it has plugs for many countries. Yes it gives you many extra ports. Here’s the link to Amazon…https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07LCGG6Z7/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Tom😀

dobiemom Posted October 9, 2022 #8 Share Posted October 9, 2022 Question about shipboard European-style plugs: I know if I want to use a US appliance with a European-style plug, I need to use an adapter for the plug. My question is do I also need a converter (to dial down the electricity) while on the ship?

My question is do I also need a converter (to dial down the electricity) while on the ship? Depends on the appliance that you intend to plug into it. The appliance needs to have dual voltage capability in order to not need an converter. If it takes 110 only then you need a converter.
katisdale Posted October 9, 2022 #10 Share Posted October 9, 2022 It depends upon the appliance you want to use. If you have a dual voltage appliance you only need an adapter. If single voltage, you need both an adapter and a converter.

Tom😀 Yes, there is a USB-A port in the base of the bedside lamps, but you should be aware that they charge VERY slowly.
