Cats Meow2012 Posted October 24, 2022 #1 Share Posted October 24, 2022 Do many people dress up for formal night on Alaskan cruises? We’re doing a 6 night land tour before embarking and I really want to fit everything into one suitcase. I know we can always go to the Oceanview, but we enjoy the dining room. kathynorth Posted October 24, 2022 #2 Share Posted October 24, 2022 Formal night on our 2 Alaskan cruises seemed to be more casual than on other cruises.

There are no formal nights on Celebrity. They have been replaced by Evening Chic. Pretty much you can wear the same as you wear on other nights. You won’t need to pack extra. Look up Evening Chic on Celebrity’s website.
bigbenboys Posted October 24, 2022 #5 Share Posted October 24, 2022 Check out Celebrity flyer. We did 2 Alaska sailing this year. I did not dress up at all. https://creative.rccl.com/Sales/Celebrity/General_Info/Flyers/15047638_CEL_Evening_Chic_Overview_Flyer.pdf
Northern Aurora Posted October 24, 2022 #6 Share Posted October 24, 2022 Although we live in Alaska we have a done a number of Alaska itineraries. Alaska itineraries are consistently less dressy than other itineraries. We did B2B Alaska cruises last June. My husband did pack a sports jacket. I wore nice black slacks and sparkly tops on the "evening chic" nights.
